Richard de Montfitchet 601
The Preceptory held its regular meeting on Friday 19th September. Although the initial attendance appeared modest, the atmosphere was soon lifted by words of encouragement from the Sub-Prior, which set a positive tone for the proceedings.

The Temple, in its intimate and distinguished setting, was duly prepared for the Installation of E. Kt. Graham Kolthammer. The Preceptory was greatly honoured by the presence of the Provincial Prior, R.E. Kt. Stephen Churchill, who was accompanied by the Provincial Bodyguard and who led the formal procession with dignity.
The Temple was opened in due and solemn form, after which the Installation of E. Kt. Kolthammer was carried out with great decorum, together with the Investiture of the Officers. During the meeting, a Knight Templar Certificate was presented to Kt. Richard Crow by the Provincial Prior, R.E. Kt. Churchill.

Following the collection of Alms, the Preceptory was closed and reopened in the Degree of Malta, whereupon E. Kt. Kolthammer was once again Installed as the Eminent Preceptor. The Officers of the Degree were then invested, and the Preceptory was closed in harmony.
The members and visitors later enjoyed an excellent Festive Board, which was marked by good humour and convivial speeches. Particular reference was made to the encouragement of membership, a subject received in the most light-hearted of spirits.
The occasion was one of dignity, fellowship, and joy, and will be remembered as a most successful and uplifting meeting in the history of the Preceptory.
