Centenary Celebration Service for the Knights Templar
On Sunday 14th June 2026, members, families and friends gathered at Holy Trinity Church, Northampton, for a special service to celebrate the Centenary of the Knights Templar Province of Northampton, Huntingdon & Bedford.
The service marked an important milestone in the Province’s history, giving all present an opportunity to reflect on one hundred years of faith, fellowship and service. The church provided a fitting setting for this memorable occasion, and it was wonderful to see so many members and guests come together to celebrate this landmark year.
Special thanks are due to Nigel Dickens, Vince Tindale and Tony Larkin for organising the service and ensuring that the day ran so smoothly. We are also grateful to Tony Avery for leading the service so thoughtfully and to Kevin Johnson for providing the organ music, which greatly enhanced the occasion.
Following the service, members and guests enjoyed refreshments and fellowship together. Sincere thanks go to Reece and Emma Pitts, together with their daughters Sophie and Megan, for preparing the sandwiches, sausage rolls and all the other wonderful savoury food. Thanks also to Emma Pitts and Anita Hunt for the wonderful selection of cakes, which were enjoyed by all. Their kindness, generosity and hard work are very much appreciated.
We would also like to thank Karen and Katie Larkin for their assistance with the refreshments and everyone else who contributed in any way to the success of the day. Events such as this are only possible through the efforts and support of many willing volunteers.
Most importantly, thank you to everyone who attended. Your presence helped make this Centenary Celebration a truly special occasion and a memorable highlight in the Province’s 100th year. We look forward to continuing our celebrations and building upon the strong foundations laid by those who have served the Province over the past century.
