Wendlynburgh Preceptory No. 236 – 298th Regular Meeting

On Tuesday, 5th May, Wendlynburgh Preceptory No. 236 held its 298th regular meeting at Rushden Masonic Hall, where a strong and enthusiastic gathering of Knights assembled for an evening of ceremony, fellowship, and tradition.

The meeting commenced with the appointment and investment of those Knights who had been unable to attend the previous Installation meeting, ensuring that all were duly placed and recognised within the Preceptory in accordance with established custom.

A highlight of the evening was the installation of two new Knights, Companions David Linger and Spencer Gilbert. Following a successful ballot, the Eminent Preceptor, John Davies, conducted the ceremony of Installation with dignity and precision, admitting both Companions into the Order in full accordance with its ancient and honourable traditions.

The Preceptory was then pleased to present Knights Templar certificates to two members in recognition of their progress:

  • Kt Craig Wilcox – Knights Templar Degree

  • Kt Felix Bob-Nabena – Knights Templar Degree

These presentations marked important milestones in the Masonic journey of each recipient and were warmly received by all present.

Following the conclusion of the formal proceedings, the Knights retired to the festive board, where they enjoyed an excellent roast beef dinner in a convivial and relaxed atmosphere. The evening provided an opportunity for camaraderie and reflection, rounding off what was widely regarded as a thoroughly enjoyable and successful meeting.
